As the prayer ministry coordinator, Sandy encourages pastors and prayer leaders in Franconia’s congregations to make prayer ministry a vital part of their lives. She provides resources and helps build relationships and connections that foster growth in prayer ministry. Sandy organizes prayer gatherings for specific needs, and brings in intercessors to pray with a pastor or congregation. She organizes prayer gatherings that usually happen each month, and is equally focused on communal and personal prayer lives.

Sandy joined the staff in 2007, after serving at her home congregation, Doylestown Mennonite, as prayer minister for several years. She had been doing a lot of reading on prayer, and felt motivated to begin prayer groups and initiatives in her own congregation, and then also did some training in prayer ministry. She attends prayer conferences and connects with prayer leaders from Mennonite churches as well as of other denominations.

She is married to Steve and likes to garden, read, talk with friends, and bake bread.
