Noel is responsible to the board for the staff, daily operations, as well as carrying out the vision and mission of Franconia Conference. His primary role is a supervisor, making sure that the staff has everything they need to do their jobs well. Noel is a part of the LEAD platform, and also preaches, teaches and visits conference congregations.

Noel has been a part of conference staff since the mid-90s, first as a conference mission leader then a conference minister. He took on his current role in 2007, after two years of working closely with former Executive Minister Phil Bergey. Noel’s favorite part of the job is the wide variety of people he gets to work with–staff, board members, congregational members, lay leaders and business leaders.

Noel was raised in New Holland, Pa. and is a member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church. When he isn’t on the job, he spends time with his family and friends and works at perfecting his barbecue skills.
